I love this shotgun. I understand it gets quite a bit of hate around the internet, but I gotta say, the gun has performed flawlessly for me. I guess its a newer model. I'll have to check the serial number to see when it was made...

But yeah, the gun has taken care of pretty much everything I've fed it, from 2.75" to 3.5"

The only issue I've had is that Federal target loads (cheapies) don't feed well sometimes. Its pretty rare though. I went out today and shot 50 rounds through and no feed issues at all. Again, I'm 99.999% sure its the ammunition anyway.

I think it's looks are awesome. I love the beefyness of it, yet it is still light weight. The recoil pad is sweet.

I guess I'll keep everyone advised as to any developments, but thus far, the gun is a treat to shoot and I find it looks utterly awesome.

Glad to hear it. Seemed like a good concept, the all-plastic exterior seems a little odd to me but it seems like a good gun.

Is it based off an 870 or is it some different action? Just curious whether Remington stocks, sidesaddles, and mag extensions would fit one.

No I don't believe they will. I can't confirm about stocks not fitting. They seem to be about the same size and what not at the point where the butt fits the gun, I don't know if the hardware inside is different.

But the 887 is different that the 870. I don't know much about the 870, but my 887 has a rotating bolt, which the 870 doesn't, so thats different....

Either way. I'm lovin it. It's a ###y gun. I like the long foreend (similar to a semi), lets you hold it in a couple different stances so any one can be comfy shooting it. Light gun too.

Hmm, might have to get one in to tinker with. I saw them when they first came out but they only had the 28" barrel version which was sort of boring. This new short version might be fun to play with.

Just took a look at it on Rem's website and I gotta say I'm interested.
While the brochure pumps up some WDFD facts (save a whole ⅛lb over comparable 870 ) there are some interesting changes to the shotgun.

Greg11, they say the trigger plate is actually made of the ArmorLokt stuff. The receiver is steel covered in that stuff, but is the trigger plate only plastic. (Sorry.....ArmorLokt  )

(E)

yep, I got one and let me tell yea it one nice gun.... note its not a plastic barrel its polymer coated, it is the same steel barrel with a coating over it.

Going to range today :)

Yea a lot of people who say that stuff seem to neglect mentioning that the gun is still made of metal. It is just coated in polymer. It is 100% metal.

Its a really nice gun, go pick one up!! :p
