Remington build question.

Hi, I have an SPS varmint stock from a 204(not fancy I know), will the screw spacing fit a 243 sps or are the Remington actions long/short/extra short. I was thinking of buying a 243sps and putting a heavy contour barrel in 6br on it and using the sps varmint stock on it for now. Also is there a way to polish the bolt/rail guides so they glide smooth like a Tikka.

.204 Rem700 - has short action, Rem700 in .243 - also, so it will fit........

but I, personaly, would not even consider SPS Varmint stock for any kind of project...

to make it glide like Tikka you will spend as much as Tikka will cost you to buy.....
