Remington Bulk Bullets

I have had mismatched bullets in sealed Rem bulk bags too.
Not only does poor quality control show up in their packaging of bulk bullets it also shows up in loaded ammo. I had a round with no powder or primer in a box of 308 150g'ers.

These "bulk packs" you mention, are they from Remington? The only bulk packs I've seen in the past several years have been packaged by the shops that sell them.
I used to like buying the bulk Speer TNT bullets or the Hornady and Remington offerings that came in 1000 round boxes. Never once had a mispack.

As for a case in a box from the factory, without powder, possible but, the first one I've heard of. You should buy a lottery ticket. Did the bullet make it out of the muzzle when the primer ignited?

i dont kno about elsewhere but shooters choice in sudbury had a huge selection of different bullet manufacturers and they had lots of bulk bags of remington bullets in quantities of 100 or so....

as for the quality control ive had a lot of FTF on the "thunderbolt" .22 rimfire....

I understand bullet manufacturers make a run of thousands of a certain type of bullet at a time, then they switch the machine over to another type. If a tray of some sort doesn't get emptied properly and the quality control people don't catch it then your going to get the odd wrong bullet in the box. Never assume what it says on the box is what you have in the box.
