I wanted two new beads for my 1100, so I went online to place an order with onlinecamp.com/ Gravel Agency.

So I ordered a front bead F202850 $13.13 and a mid bead F18052 $6.57 for a total of $19.70.

I went to check out and signed in and entered province (BC) and postal code....then was hit with a $26.10 Shipping charge.

Crazy charges.....order cancelled.

Have to find them from another source, any suggestions

I spoke to them about this when I ordered a new safety button for my 870. It has to do with so many a$$holes filling undelivered goods claims to get reimbursed for “lost” items. Whether or not they are legitimate, Gravel decided to ship all hard goods with signature and tracking.
Buuuuttttttt, I was actually able to convince the woman on the phone to ship me the safety button in a plain envelope with it tapped to a sheet of paper. I think it was $2.60 or something for shipping.
Ask for Kathleen Jean at Gavel, very nice lady.

Just shipped a gun from BC to Sask and $26 with tax. So full sized gun parcel works out to the same a very much smaller and much lighter parcel. Something is a bit fishy.

A month ago I shipped a rifle to North of Williams Lake BC and it was 26.35 with a tracking number and signature.
The OP’s problem lies with the retailer and not Canada Post.
But, if the OP wants a regular front bead for an 1100 I’ll gladly ship him one for the cost of the bead and the postage.
No upselling of the goods or travel expenses...my Union Thuggery is gonna suffer but it is a valid offer.

Thanks for the reply and your offer for a front bead. The correct replacement I need is the #202850 screw in, I think the threads are 6/48

You have the one f202850? If so how much do you want for it?

Not surprised at the claims for lost items.
I ordered a mag extension and some trigger group surclips for an 870. Box showed up and no surclips. Called and the response I got was "our stock is correct". I had to shred the box and on the outside, under the packing tape is a small envelope. This is how the clips got packed.
I wonder how many have thrown out their parts because they were hidden in the packaging.

I've ordered spring kits from a retailer this month and they were shipped in a oversize letter bubble pack. Shipping was a flat rate of $10.00

Are we not Gun Nutz? (as he says in his best Devo voice)
The $26.00 shipping charge is the huge suppository sized (think Nestor Pistor) shipping charge.
I offered to help the guy out by checking inventory at my small local sport goods shop and sending it to him all for the cost of the parts (retail) and the cost of a stamp.
Doesn’t matter if he takes it or not, but the offer is genuine.

$10 flat rate for a bubble envelope is outragous too, should be about $2 to ship if it is under 20mm thick, as it still provides no tracking.

problem with parcel shipping is they need to do so for tracking, as too many people call and complain that they didn't recieve the item. Vendors need to protect and trackstuff now because of the few that abused it.

Gravel is the distributor for XS sights.

I needed two new screws for a front sight, my own fault so no warranty claim.

The screws are $5 each, which was the first insult.

Then $15 to ship them.

So $25 for two screws.

I now have a useless sight set because I refuse to pay that kind money for two screws.

I'm confused by your post. I was agreeing that being billed over $26+ to mail tiny parts is excessive and that I was charge over $16.00 less for something of similar size and weight.

Good on you for your offer to the OP.
Cheers.

I don't mind the $10 flat rate. For a business that is covering the postage, packaging and handling. Much better than the time I tried to order two receiver screws from the U.S. that cost $3.00 ea then get billed close to $30.00 US for "International shipping." When I asked why so much for shipping, I was told it was the size of the shipping box and that size was the smallest box. The screws are small, I told them to mail them in a padded envelope which they replied they couldn't do. WTF?
I didn't order the screws.
