What is you guys take on this very nice and very rare Remington Flintlock?
Black powder guns is not really my thing but i could not pass this beautiful muzzle load.
With Remington Gone now, will the value accrue or not?
And what kind of price would you guys put on this? i have original box and papers.
I know 2 sold for over 4k US in auction recently..
 
That the one that was just sold at auction? Nice looking gun. From searches I found they were supposedly made by the Hatfield Rifle Company and had Ketland locks. Also supposedly had weak mainsprings. But you likely researched this info already. If you goal is to flip it you would likely realize quite a bit more if it was sent state side.

On memory Remington started making flintlock rifles 1816 at his farm NY. Buying some parts, 15 mile walk away and making others, his reputation for quality grew, and we know the rest.
Yes just checked, page 1 Remington Handguns Karr and Karr 2nd Ed 1951.Info gathered from Eliphalet Remingtons Great great grandson.
