Hey guys,

Just curious about the new Remington Express shotguns (the ones with the dimples in the end of the magazine tube). I understand that the spring retainer is made of plastic on these "new generation" 870's. I've got no experience with - let alone seen one up close. Just curious as to exactly how the magazine cap is retained on the end of the mag tube? All the older 870's (incl. new production 870P's) that I've handled have the ball bearing detent on the barrel ring - that the mag cap is tightened over. How exactly does the newer style mag cap stay locked in place? Secondly, for those that own them, are the Dlask barrels just a simple swap out - one for one on these new Express models? Or, are there parts that have to be changed out to make them compatible (in other words, can you use the original mag spring, retaining plug, and magazine cap with a Dlask barrel)? If you've got them, pics would really help here.... Please and thanks!

Cheers,
hsld.
