Bought a Baikal 20 gauge single shot and was trying out some ammo for hunting. I picked up some Hypersonic steel in #4. I fired it over the chrony today and clocked it at about 1675. On their websight the spec it at 1600 so I was a bit suprized. It kicked like a mule in that little gun, but it patterned pretty good. The idea was for my wife to use it on upland, but I don't think this is a suitable load for someone of small stature.
Anyone else try this ammo. anyone else run it over a chrono? I would love to buy some in 12g for goose hunting but I have an old remington that only takes 2 3/4.
On the flipside I also bought some Remington Slugger slugs. They are speced at 1580 and I was only getting 1375 out of them so I was a little disapointed.
