Remington is making 30 round mags for the 597

Hi,
I am new to shooting rifles. I just bought two 597`s. (one for my girlfriend).
one synthetic regular barrel, one synthetic with the stainless steel barrel.
I bought a couple 30 round mags with them.
I was told by one guy at a gun shop later not to buy them as they mis-feed and jam a lot. so far I would say this is somewhat true. Out of 30 rounds, I would say maybe 10 rounds mis feed or jam. As I put more rounds through it, it seems to be getting better. I can rip through 10 rounds in the 10 round mag with no problem at all.
I am in the Vancouver area. I bought the mags at Chilliwack Dart and Tackle, and DVC Ventures in Port Coquitlam has them as well.

RJ :)

Are your mags the remington branded ones or the eagle international magazines? I had issues with the first generation eagle mags, but the newest ones seems to work well, they feed and cycle 32 rounds no problem.

Hi,
They are the Remington brand. I still prefer the 30 round just out of convenience, and it has got better. some kind of wear in? Or maybe it was my loading :)
