Remington M700 extractor replacement

Just had the extractor on my M700 BDL Varmint Spl. in .223 give up the ghost.
Is this a home repair job, or should I take it into a shop??

Is the Sako replacement a better idea????

Depending on the type, some Remington extractors are simply snap in, in which case it is a possible home job, others are riveted in place and unless you have the proper tools , bolt damage can occur, these types are better to have someone with the right tools do.
The Sako style extractor has been discussed adnauseum, but the short version is it is not a good idea or necessary
