I won a lot of stocks at an auction. This receiver was mixed in there:

Its rusty. Just the receiver, mag tube, and buffer tube.

Is it worth anything?

Thanks

For someone with a damaged receiver, it would be a lifesaver.
Put it in the EE with a hundred bucks on it, come down $25 a week until it sells. If there are no takers, then it is a paperweight.

I have never seen a 1100 with a damaged receiver have you. Mag tubes shot which this one seems probably is from a chatter marks we can see and the silver solder let go on the back tube which is an easy fix was all I remember fixing

Cheers

I would say identify the type of receiver it is based on the serial numbers & letters. Then go from there. If the only problem is rust, it's the perfect candidate for a strip and paint truck gun.

1100 12 gauge magnum receivers have a ser# that ends in M and the word "Magnum" over the trigger guard on the right side. 2 3/4 " receivers have a V at the end of the ser#. Regardless there is no difference in the receivers. Each will handle 3" loads with the proper combo of barrel (3" chamber) and the heavier action sleeve of the magnum. The receiver pictured would have come from the factory barrelled to shoot 2 3/4" cartridges.
