Trying to find someone who sells model 1100 replacement barrels within Canada. I have seen them advertised on the US Cabelas website but not on the Canadian Cabelas site. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I could be very wrong on this, but for some reason in the back of my mind I think 1100 and 870 bbls are the same. I'm not 100% sure on that though. If they are then 870 bbls can be found all over the place. If I'm wrong someone please correct me. I hate going around thinking things that aren't true.

Totally different my friend and will not interchange. wsports is the best spot in canada for a new 1100 barrel. Also nail down the year of your gun since some of the later ones will not accept the old style barrels they are more like a 1187 style.
I forget the year off the top of my head but guessing 87 and back.

See, don't you hate it when you have an idea like that in your head, that you're not sure is right, but for some reason you think it might be? Thanks for setting me straight on that.

86/87 is when remington came out with the rem choke barrels and introduced the 1187 semi so many things started to change in these guns. Most 1100's will accept all replacment 1100 barrels but I have run into a couple that had the barrel ring /sleeve etc like a 1187. Have to see what if anything remington has published on this. We could get them to fit with grinding but it was a pain. Maybe now the ones supplied are opened to handle both I am not 100% sure.
If the gun is prior to 86 I would not worry and buy a barrel if after that year I would do more digging just to be sure since they also made the light contour 1100 barrels after that year and they are a thin wall smaller diameter that use a totally different fore end also some used the 1187 bolt. I forget now old design barrels can not be used on new but new design can be used on both.??
Have to check

Update: this covers most of it
