Hi all,
I have a really old Model 12 Remington with a round barrel. The only piece it was missing was the inner feed tube. I chatted with a gunsmith and sent him pictures, and he sent me the shorter inner feed tube that he thought should match my gun. Well, it turns out it is too long by about 2.5" or so. I found some references stating that the early model 12's (pre model 12's some call them) had three different feed tube lengths, with the Model 12A having the shortest one.
Can anyone validate this? The serial number on my Model 12 is RW 3xx, which is quite low from what I've been able to gather. Maybe a rarity item or someone cut it down in the past? (No evidence of this upon inspection).
Appreciate your help team,
