I just bought these two firearms and was wondering if you guys could give me some info on them. the first one is a model 12 I think, it doesn't say a model on it, it just says UMC in a couple places, the interesting thing is the muzzel is theaded( what can you guys tell me about this? is it any more valuable because of this? the second gun is a old stevens model 22-410. is this the gun that later became the savage model 24? what kind of money are these things fetching? and while I almost threw out this old gun case I found some old papers in the remington one. it looks like an extra fireing pin and two other peices I am noth sure of. as well as some old cleaning supplies.
the old papper that had the remington peices in them has an old one cent stamp on it and says remington arms on the paper? any additional info would be great. anyways ere are the pics.
cheers,
sorry mods for the large pic on the top, I can seem to make that one smaller

Those flat pieces are spare firing pin/strikers. I don't recognize the stepped rod. Perhaps a tool for driving the pin out of the breech bolt to change the striker????

There was a 12 on gunbroker last summer when I was shopping around that wore the same fitting. Can't recall if it is a silencer or a barrel vibration compensator like a Boss system.

If you post these pics in the Remington Society forum you may get a quicker response. Nice 12A by the way. Seems very hard to locate one that is tight and has enough bore left to toss lead in a straight line.
If you want post the serial number less the last three digits (x them out) and I can look at my book for date of manufacture.
