Hello Everyone:

I was taking apart a Remington model 25 in 25-20 win. and a wee part fell out.
Unfortunately I didn't see exactly where it came out of ( and its orientation) and I am a bit perplexed as to where it goes back in.

It is part number #2 in the parts list "Action bar cover"

In some disassembly instructions I read "slide the action bar rearward and remove the action bar cover"

The thin plate has 2 raised dimples on it. I would seem to me that it would set dimples down into a slot in the action bar ?
But it also does't seem to want to stay there.

If anyone could assist me with this and possibly another question or 2 I'd really appreciate it.

If you could P.M me maybe I could call you and talk for a minute or two.
If not a post back here would be great also.

Thanks for looking !

Best Regards

Hi Rocco:
I think the model 14's have that same type of plate on them and if its what and where I 'think it is; it sits below the barrel chamber in between the barrel and the mag tube housing. On my m25 I can see the edges of it from both sides[L & R] and it extends about 1 1/4" out in front of the receiver. Does this make any sense to you?
