Remington Model 5

Has anyone had any experience with a Remington Model 5 .22lr bolt action rifle? Any good? Any cons?

They are very good, nice trigger (once adjusted properly), smooth bolt and very accurate with most loads.

Cons? Only two Hard to find extra mags and rifle no longer available new unless you find new old stock or find one used.

I have only had experince with the MODEL FIVE & she was a beauty. Oh how I miss shooting that tack driver & it taught me so much too. Maybe I'll buy another 1 of these. Just something about wood & metal.

With out a doubt the very best bang for your rimfire buying dollar, esp since they are now discontinued and selling cheap. FS

I found extra magazines at wholesale sports if anyone is looking, they have 22lr mags and 22wmr mags. 5 round 22lr mags 21.99 ea. I bought one.

I havent yet, it actually just arrived today while i was at work so i have to pick it up tomorrow on my way home. I look forward to taking it to the range on Saturday though. I may post a range report on this thread if anyone is interested

got mine last year, adjusted the trigger so its lighter since its a bit heavy out of the box.

I think its a little too light and fires sometimes when i load and push the bolt forward.
