Does anyone know anything about these guns? I can't find any background on them at all, it's driving me crazy. The gun was given to the family, new in box several years ago. Bolt action, five shot clip, deadly accurate. I can post pics if need be. No particular reason I'm asking, I'd just like to know more about this thing!
Thx

Also, if anyone knows how to adjust the trigger, if at all possible, that information would be very much appreciated!

You can't find any info on it because it wasn't made by Remington, I just checked their archives and they never made a 500 model. FS

Well Thats great, but guess what Rem never made a 525 either, 511,512,513,514 521, but no 525 FS

Well, it's in my hands and I'm lookin at it and it says REMINGTON MODEL 525. Made in Brazil. So I guess you're just plain old wrong.

Actually Fassteel is right, if it's made in Brazil then Remington didn't make it, they imported it and rebranded it.

Likely made by CBC of Brazil originally. Worth less than 120.00 market value.

Rem 525

Was also imported as a CIL 171 if memory serves me right. Cheaper manufacture, less quality wood than the US produced rifles. I had one, it was decently accurate. I paid $50 for it at a show, sold it for $75. They are a shooter, certainly not valuable above that. Great for a truck/barn gun.

Tha 525 was produced in Brazil by CBC from 1971 to 1973, they are a pretty close copy of a 511.They imported aprox 8000 of these guns into Canada. As far as I know there is no way to adjust the trigger externally.
