Remington model 6 22

Hi everyone

I have a Remington model 6 22 long rifle rim fire. I have taken a look into the potential wrong part that has been installed. It is the main spring. It was broken some time ago (long before I owned gun) but wondering if anyone would know of some one that is or has this part for this gun? And roughly a cost to fix this gun and cost of the part. I am the new owner of this rifle and it was my grandfathers and has been handed down the generations and it apparently misfires once and a while and would love it to work properly cause I want my son to learn with this rifle. If anyone can be of assistance that would be awesome
