Hi..
I am looking for a magazine...spring and follower for a Remington model 600.
I need the box for the 350 rem mag.
My daydream is to build a 338-284 on this action and I'm "guessing" that this will be my best route for reliable feeding.
It is currently a 243.
The other option is 338 federal....I know with that I'm all set....but I would like to do the other just to be different....
Any opinions out there?

I'm pretty sure the new Mod 7 parts will work in your 600 and should be much easier to find. The 338-284 is a much better cartridge than the 338-08, it equals the 338-06 but in your very short action you may have trouble getting to these ballistics. It will still be significantly better than the 338-08. Just a little word of advice from a guy whose reformed more 284 W-W brass than most, anneal your necks and shoulders before attempting to bump them up, you'll save a lot of ruined cases.
 
As mentioned, the model 7 and 700 short magazine liner, spring and follower will fit your 600. But I have bought the "rem mag" mag liner from a 660 from WGP in the past.

If I go with lapua brass....it comes annealed but should I do it again?
Also on average how many more firings do you see from your brass and how often do you anneal it?
I also see timney makes a trigger for the 600.....any Canadian sources?

About 30 years ago I built a 6.5x 284 on a 600 action and the original follower (308) worked just fine. No feeding problems. so I think that you 243 follower should be OK
 
Do yourself a huge favor n try lapua ...its actually cheaper to run the good stuff....I have a tight neck 22br and it lasts forever.

I found a few aftermarket stocks as well.
So I'll just need a barrel and trigger.

Does anyone know a source for a clamp on stlye muzzle brake?
