I'm using a Leipold standard 2 piece base, but it looks like the rear mount blocks the loading gate/ejection port.

It's the corrwct part number , installed in the correct direction, screws closest to muzzle.

Is this going to cause problems ?

The rear base in the top picture is for a Remington 700.
It is a Burris mount I found after removing it today.

How can you get the windage screws in the correct position without alignment bars ?

Insert the windage screws, count how many turns until they bottom out. Use thsoe numbers to center them, and check your alignment. - dan

Go buy yourself a 1" wooden dowel.
Or look around yer casa for a broom handle.
Sticker in the front ring.
Make sure the front ring is in there where it needs to be.
Put your rear ring in the base and go 1/4-1/2 turn on the rear base windage screws until
the ketchup to the ring.
Go slow and wartch wutt yer dewn.

I've like these windage adjustable bases and and have the right ones now...my friend had alignment bars I used.....but I moved...so no more access.

I have Talley's on my 10-22,o don't care for them.
