Remington model 7 twist rate

I have a 1993 model 7 in 223 and was wondering what the twist rate is? I have found some info online telling me it's 1 in 12 but not sure

They switched to 1 in 9 in 2007.

Should be 1:12, but why not just measure it? Pretty simple. Put a patch on your jag and insert the cleaning rod from the rearjust past the chamber. Measure the distance (in inches) from the handle of the cleaning rod to the back of your action. Put a chalk mark or something you can see on the rod near the handle and push it into the bore until it makes 1 full revolution. Measure the distance from the handle to the back of the action again. Subtract the 2nd measurement from the 1st and that's your twist rate.

Ya, but telling him it 1:12 is great, teaching him how to measure it himself will give him a skill he can use for any rifle he buys from now on. Give a man a fish/teach a man to fish ... and all that.
