Dictionary cawls fur a Weaver #70 base.
Tried three diffrunt scopes and rings awn this &%$!? base and t'ain't nuff windage
to the right.
Old Bushnill mayder, but by a chinney chin chin'air.
Convinced the base is fubar.

Oh, it's a three screw base.

Need sum eye-deers fur a bettermint base?
Maybe sum Talleys?

Head'in to the bigg'un city tomorrow and gonna bring the thing wid me.

Frustraytitted..................d:h:

Find a Leupold 2 Pc STD base [P/N 1256], Looky. It has windage adjustment built in by design.
You will need the STD rings to match of course. Dave.

so is this a one piece base or a two piece base. If single rear screw I would try and find a one piece base and some simple rings like the old weaver style

It's a one piece base with three holes.
Two up front and the loner in the rear bridge.

Weaver base stamped 70

I'm hoping the base is nfg and not a factory screw up.

What?? Can’t understand anything you wrote man!!

I’m pretty sure I need a one piece base given the one hole rear?

Might see you tuhmarrah yew bawl buster.

Time to turn in.
Daylight will be’ear shortly.

Nunnew nunnew.

I used a Leopold standard 1 peice and medium turn in rings.
No issues with windage ,lots of adjustment with this base

I run 3 Model 7s here. One mine and 2 for the daughters. All are standard internal magazine style. Look for the option with the least impingement on the breech opening for loading purposes. If you understand the issue, you will know which option to choose for bases. Hint, some are better than others on the Model 7 short action configuration.

I'm fairy sure that the model 7 with only one hole in the rear accepts the short action one piece base as does the 600. They changed spacing when they put the second hole in the rear bridge.

Picked up a Leupold three screw base and low twisty in rings when I went thru Vernon today.
Made Dellysun look.
Ohhh that lad can cuss.........................:onCrack:

Maybe I'll gitter dun tonight.
