Remington model 700 ..... But what model help!!!!!!!!!!

i recently picked up this remington 700 stainless in 300 mag, IT WAS MADE IN 2005 the guy i bought it from told me it was a sendero........it has a factory muzzle break, stainless heavy bbl. and a hogue stock the muzzle break is fatter then the rest of the bbl,,,,,its a beauty of a rifle and i plan on reselling it, i have an idea what to ask but i just want to make sure i advertise it right and what i could ask for it,,,,,,,,,,,its chambered in 300 wm



 
Nothing you've been told about that rifle is true.........sorry. Senderos had fluted, 26" med sporter, not heavy barrels, Remington has NEVER, NEVER, NEVER factory supplied or installed muzzle brakes and of course the Hogue stock isn't factory, but I assume you know that. Does it have factory stampings on the barrel and what length is the barrel without the brake? We may be able to tell you what it started life as, but it sure as he!! wasn't a factory braked Sendero !!!

Can't remember what year without looking in my files, but I did buy a REM 700 BDL SS DM in a 7mm Rem Mag with a factory brake. They were only out for a year or two.

Didn't the 700 Police in .338 Lapua come with a factory brake? Regardless that one sure isn't factory. Definitly not a Sendero, but by no means a worthless gun either. As mentioned, does it have the Remington proof mark or two letter date code?
 
looks like simply a factory magnum sporter barrel with an aftermarket brake added and dropped into a Hogue stock. Not a factory combination. Certainly not a Sendero. The stainless Senderos had Varmint contour fluted barrels of 26" length and HS stocks , not Hogue.

And, like someone else mentioned, Remington certainly did offer 700's with factory muzzle brakes, I had two of them, a 300 Win Mag and a 7 STW, both stainless 24" sporters buit in the late 90's

Any chance of a close up of the stamping on the barrel? For some reason it doesn't look like a factory contour to me, but it's hard to be sure from the provided pictures.

Your gun was made December 2005. I would agree with the other guys factory stainless dropped into a Houge stock and a brake added. Probably worth $700-$800.
