I have a friend with one of these guns and he is in need of a new magazine. I searched around (Brownell's and Remington) and cannot seem to find anywhere he can get a replacement. Anyone have any suggestions?

Did a quick look for ya! Try here:http://w w w.nylonrifles.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=9

Seems that Midaway sells them, but you got to get them out of the US. Seems the Nylon 77 is the same rifle.

P&D in Edmonton have some in stock (same as Nylon 77). I have both rifles (10C & 77) and the magazines work in both.

Have you put a scope on them or do you shoot them with irons? I have a small scope the rifle came with but the zero wanders a bit. With irons it is quite accurate enough for small game purposes.
My nephew just picked up a 10C and has ordered two magazines from Brownels. He still needs a bolt handle which Brownels cannot send as the company that manufactured it is an aftermarket one and has not signed the DDTC or is not on the list.

The Nylon rifles are not great for adding a scope due to the available mounting system. The metal cover on the receiver with the grooves has some flex to it particularly when squeezed with the scope ring clamping it. I was always having to re-calibrate my scope. The one style that seemed to work the best was the older 3/4" Bushnell with the rail system on the bottom for fastening the scope... better but not perfect. Always consistent with the iron sights.

Yes, I must agree. The Bushnell 3-7 mount slides onto the rifle rail and the scope does the same on top of the mount. I am always having to re-zero. With my laser bore-sighter in the muzzle I will look through the scope at a wall and see the red dot. Then I flex the fore-stock and can see the red dot move quite a distance.
When standing at thirty to fifty yards I hold the rifle very lightly and everything works out well. If I rest the rifle I place it so only the area in front of the trigger guard (I have a 66) contacts the rest. Again this causes no flex.
Having said all that it is a fabulous rifle. Nothing was done to or replaced on the rifle yet it never had any problems with stoppages the way my 10/22 did until I bought an aftermarket extractor for it.
I may just take the scope off as the sights are not bad at all.

Thanks a lot everyone. Can't believe I missed the ones on brownells. I will pass the info on to my friend.

You may want to tell your friend to try Western Gun Parts first so there will be absolutely no problems with the border people. My nephew just ordered some 10C stuff from brownels about three weeks ago and still has not received the parcel. Today he ordered all he needs from WGP and that parcel will probably arrive first.
