t-star said:actually, you made a really good deal- that looks like mostly front end damage and front sights and screws are fairly easy to come by- i'd be inclined to do some fiberglassing to repair that crack ( try some cold weld) - the reason the front sight was taken off was because of the scope- not everyone liked the "buck rodgers" look when it was on there- the scope alone has got to be worth what you paid for the rifle( bushnell varaible rimfire ) and takes a special almost non-existant hex key- it's a real odd-ball size, but one of the TORX common ones will fit- one of those multi-bit numbers that can tire has it in it- the ones that come on spcl for 10 bucks or so and have about 30-40 bits in it- when you get it off, dremel a slot in the screws so a slotted screwdriver will work and put it back on- i've had mine since 69-70 or so and the obnly problem i've ever had was the bottom of the rear sight popped off ( it's a small washer) and NEVER LOOSE THE EJECTOR- THAT'S THE BRASS PLATE THAT DROPS OFF WHEN YOU TAKE THE COVER OFF
