Remington or Norinco?

I'm going to buy the Remington 870 Special Purpose Marine Magnum shotgun that I talked about in another thread but I've heard a lot of people talking about Marstar and Norinco weapons. I checked it out and seen that they have shotgun for $299. Are these just cheap POS's or do they actually have some quality/reliability behind them? Would be nice for a secondary shotgun, more of an all purpose for $299. Can't beat the price but how would it stack up against a real Remington 870 for example?

Yah, thx for the notice. I just started looking around after posting.

Remington or Norinco

Well I would get the Remington, don,t have a Norinco shotgun, but bought a JW-15 .22 and the quility really blows in my mind,it seem,s to be a hit an miss in quality with Norinco. On the other side if you buy a Norc from Marstar and are not happy ,they will go out of their way to make sure you are.Just my 2 cents

I love my norinco hp9 14 inch. Ive put 2 3/4 #7 through it 2 3/4 slugs and 3 inch 00 buck and never had a single problem. Its build like a tank and feels good in my hands :)

Buy yourself a used Remington 870 Wingmaster and cut the barrel to any length you like. Probably will only take 2.75 shells, but really, how often do you use 3"?

If you buy an older Wingmaster you can get quality and a reasonable price
around $250-350.

Check out Elwood Epps for such a shotgun.

Unless you want a shorty with a 14" barrel. Then you're limited to buying an 870 with a factory barrel (expensive) or a Norc.

Ive got the 14 inch Norinco 870 clone. Its worth every dime..but I did have to replace the extractor with a remington one..
