PLEASE REMOVE Received this rifle from an old friend, had an old Weaver scope mounted to left side of receiver.
The barrel and receiver have a patina but other wise metal is good. I cleaned it up a bit and repaired
the stock so that it fits tight to the receiver. Bore is clean and rifling shows clearly.
ROUND BARREL
Inscription on barrel:
REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, ILION, N.Y. USA .22SHORT, LONG
PEDERSONS PATENTS JAN'Y 5,1909. OTHER PATENTS PENDING OR LONG RIFLE
Inscribed on bottom of receiver at front:
R.W.
523xx
The R.W. are for REMINGTON WORKS which was used during development before Model 12 was introduced.
Shoots and works fine with variety of ammo in long rifle.
Does anyone have a value range for this or other info?
