Hi guys,

I'm new here and I'm looking to buy a semi-auto shotgun, I wanted one of those remington police (11-87p or 1100p) but I can't seem to find them online anywhere, are they too common to be found at this site's sponsors? (They seem to have more hard to find stuff, imported, etc..)

Should I be able to find the police series at my local hunting store? I'd like to shop for prices online.. any advice welcome.

Since we're at it, while visiting sponsors site I've noticed the FABARM s.a.t 8 proforces (which I didn't know anything about). It's tempting, how does it compare to the remington police series..? I wouldn't mind owning an italian made gun.

Also (I'm new at this remember), is it true that the canadian firearms laws restrict the magazine to 5 on a semi-auto shotgun (auto-leader) but not on pump guns?

thanks a lot guys

B.

Don't see too many of these. Probably aren't very popular because they are restricted due to barrel length (only 18").

The Fabarm SAT8 is an excellent shotgun. It's got a 20" barrel (non-restricted), is not too expensive (about $1350 new), and looks great with the factory pistol grip stock (something the Remington doesn't have). I believe the new ones are also coming with the bada$$ muzzle break too. If you want, you can also outfit it with a factory folder. I have fired several hundred rounds through mine and it works flawlessly, handles everything from birdshot to slugs, even when mixed in the mag. Yes, it is unfortunately limited to a mag capacity of 5 rounds.
