Will the Remington R3 recoil pad fit on a Hogue OverMold stock for an 870?

No it won't, but IME the standard Hogue pad is just as good as the R3 pad w.r.t. soaking up perceived recoil.

The Limbsaver that's made for 870 wood will work on all 870 wood stocks.

However, you can't take an R3 off a synthetic stock and put it on a wood one; it's made to fit into the synthetic stock, whereas the wood ones screw flat onto the back, and the screws for the synthetic sotck pads are smaller than the ones for wood stocks.
