Today I tried out my new rifle with a few different factory loads. It grouped best with the remington scirocco bullets. These bullets are new to me cause I never used them before, my question is has anyone got any good or bad experiences with this ammo like did it fail to mushroom, or did it fail to retain its weight as advertised..............great nock down power......stuff like that.
I would be using this ammo for whitetails mostly distances between 40-250 yards. 30-06 150gr.

any input would be appreciated.

what caliber and weight? I use 180gr scirocco out of a 300win mag this same load my friend shoulder shot on a bull moose with and it dropped on the spot. We found the bullet in the opposite shoulder and it retined nearly 90% of its weight and mushroomed nicely.

i shoot 180's in a 300 wsm. very acurate and deadly on game. i have recovered a couple under the hide. one last year a black bear threw the shoulder at maybe 50 yds. weight was 146 grns with a good mushroom. most are pass threws and never recovered. i have used same load on deer, bear and moose. mostly the animal just drops. very good bullet in my books.
