Remington Short Action Bottom Metal Query

I am looking to find out which company made the bottom metal for my Remington 700. The bottom metal looks exactly like a product from Surgeon Rifles. However, on the bottom of the trigger guard is an emblem/crest with the letters H and P. Anybody know the answer?
