Howdy,

So I am thinking of getting a new auto shot gun. Have a Franchi LA48 in 12ga but want something that can handle 3.5 inch shells. Have heard good thing about them and would like to hear more from the members on CGN on what they think.

This will be used for ducks geese and maybe turkey as well.

I have 2 of them. I use them mainly for geese and turkey.

This will be my 4th season with these guns and so far absolutely zero problems.

you cant go wrong with them for the money - $475 at LeBaron after the 10% club card discount.

theyre not much to look at but they work flawlessly and reliably. just make sure you strip it down and clean/oil it when you get it and then follow the proper break-in procedure laid out in the manual.

my friend who just paid over $950 w/tax for an 11-87 SuperMag Waterfowl who was out helping me break my SPR 453 in is jealous because his much more expensive gun will not cycle light 2 3/4" loads at all.

Just picked one up. I haven't broke it in.

Check out Wolverine Supplies (sponsor of the site) that's where I got mine. Best price plus great service.

Let you know how it functions after the break in.

Lebaron has then for 531 after discount and tax. So that is an awesome price.

Problem is it is too good of a price and Ottawa is sold out! CRAP

Will have to look at other stores now.

??
LeBaron has them for $530 minus 10% = $477 + GST.

if they dont have them in stock locally just order them online, they dont charge much shipping. also if you order online, you only pay GST.

i got mine 3 days after i placed the order.

I was in at the local ArmyNavy/Gun Store and I had the chance to hold a Baikal version.

I am really interested in this gun to replace my current pump gun. However, the manager told me that the gun only shoots 3 and 3.5 in and not 2 3/4....should've checked the data stamp to double check...

Is that even possible?

According to Remmy the SPR version shoots 2 3/4 so I'm pretty sure he knows nothing about guns...

well broke the gun in. What a dream, to shoot. The is the shotgun with the least recoil that I own. And is it ever fast to cycle.
