Anyone with a review?

I'm trying to decide between this and the Yildiz.

Thanks guys.

PS before you start, this is my price range so please don't start about the higher end shotguns. I know all about them but I don't have the cash and I don't want to wait another year to buy one.

The Baikal made Remington will last about 200 years before it wears out. It will need about 200 rounds through it to loosen it up. I don't know anything about Yildiz shotguns so I won't vouch for them.

regards, Darryl

The front bead on my SPR100 fell off after about the first 20, maybe 40 shells. Could have just been a one off thing with mine, but thought you should know anyways. With that said, if I were going to buy a break action shotgun, and didn't want to spend much money, I'd be more than happy buying another SPR

Remington SPR310 (Baikal) = Very plain but acceptable finish, robust construction, plain wood, comparatively heavier and action extremely tight in new condition. Nothing fancy but built for abuse.

IMO, all round value perspective, the Baikal sxs and o/u could be the 870s in the world of breech-loading shotguns :).

Good shotgun - mine is still loosening up. Be aware of the chokes that come with - they are crappy. One was slightly out of round and bulged my barrel after 25 rounds....Got new barrels and now I only use carlson and colonial choke tubes.

I've heard they're pretty heavy. Does anyone know what they weigh?
As for the choke tubes, what's out there for options? I read they don't use Remington.

I have no pratical experience with one, but I did see them at the gun shop several times last year. I was going to buy one myself, but ended up going with the Stevens 512 Goldwing instead. The Stevens turned out to be a very good gun for the money, and has never let me down, and it only cost me $550 brand new. It came with 5 choke tubes that all shot where the gun was aimed, and like the SPR the action was very tight for the first couple hundred rounds. I THINK the SPR is a decent gun, but I KNOW the 512 is a decent gun...just thought you would like to know my opinion.
