Remington stocks interchangeable?

I have a 700 SPS in 204 ruger and I want to get a wood or laminate take-off from somebody else's 700. Are all 700 SA receivers w/ floorplates interchangeable with their other floorplate stocks........ex. a SPS.....CDL.....BDL all interchangeable? I am looking for a "drop in" replacement.

The action length (basically SA & LA) and the barrel contures are different on different models.

Other than that the bolt patterns should be the same.

Example if you have a Rem 700 long action Mountain rifle you would need to find a Rem 700 Mountain rifle long action wood stock.

What contour barrel does an 700 SPS in 204 ruger have....... a standard contour barrel I assume?

I don't know, you would have to measure the barrels to be sure...
