Remington Tac 14 barrel too thin for threading?

I have been looking into threading my Tac 14 for Rem chokes but have been told i need an od of .920 for threading to work...i Only read .892 so thinking wont work...any info would be great. Thx

Not all fixed choke guns can be threaded for factory tubes... some of the skinny ones can be done with aftermarket tubes. The smith doing the work will have to measure carefully first... not just the outside diameter but how concentric the bore is.
