I still think this was one of the coolest shotgun at SHOT this year. The hand stop and extension look ###y. It reminds me of the US Marshall's Witness Protection 870. I always wanted to build one with a 14" of course to keep it over the 26" OAL. Or maybe get Dlask to make a 14.5" barrel.

Yeah, but it'd certain be easier if they were a factory item, most of the stock sets I've seen were either too nice to cut up or else would require too much reworking (sanding down checkering etc).

I don't like that extension though, it doesn't fit in with the rest of the gun.

Lots of shotgun stocks are pressed checkering. Not much sanding needed. A hot wet rag and an iron is all that's needed.... but yeah. I hear ya. Work and time.
My guess is these won't be cheap... plus there's currently export issues with SBS.
I'm very tempted to put one together... my main issue it I have 12" 870. I do have a 14" 590 maybe I'll look for a wood stock for it.

i agree that the mag extension lacks in the looks department . i like the idea and if they used a better extension it would be an improvement. i have made a couple of grips from scratch and it can be done provided you do not put much value on your time.

Once you gain some skill it takes less time... ;)
