what is the recoil like
I heard to much shooting at one session
can cause detached retnias
are they alot more price than smaller precision rifles

WRP I appreciate your interest and will PM you your answers to anything .50 as we are off topic for this thread. I have heard rumours of detached retinas but have not seen anything to substantiate it. I think scope bite is the big boo boo.

Finally Got to shoot!

Hi,

I finally got my rifle back from the gunsmith and finally had a bit of free time to try out the targets...

So... I shot prone with a versapod from 100m... it was -1 degrees and snowing...

The rifle is a Savage 12FV in .223 Rem using Winchester USA (White Box) 55gr FMJ...

I appologize for continuing on the "know your limits" target, I couldn't see it very well with the snow and wasn't sure whether I caught the edge or not, so I kept shooting... it is clearly a miss.

I'm looking forward to the summer postal matches.
