Tried out both on my CZ Varmint this morning and I must say that they are not worth the extra cost. At almost double the cost of American Eagle, I, at least, expected better consistency. Remington was better than the Winchester as the Winchester had audible differences between the rounds. I was really surprised. Remington Target grouped better and was more consistent but is it worth the premium when compared to Dynapoints, American Eagle or CCI Blazer? Not for me................

Depends on the gun, Remington T was crappy in both my CZ's. Win T22 is the ammo of choice with one (not both) of the rifles. T22 is a little faster than most target velocity ammo.

Other ones to try that won't break the bank that work well in many guns are PMC scoremaster, Federal Match 711b and plain old CCI standard velocity. Some rifles even like Dynapoint. You will probably discover that the slower velocity tgt. type ammo actually out performs the faster stuff once you get beyond 75 m's.

PMC Scoremaster did really well in my Ruger 10/22 and CZ as well. I stopped using it for my semi-auto pistols because the lube they use caused my magazines to gum up. I thought I'd try some 'better' ammo because I was told that the difference in price was for better 'quality control' and this gave you more consistent ammo. I've had good results with CCI Standard Velocity as well. Actually, all of the CCI ammo I've tried has been good. I will try some Federal Match 117b. Thanks!

Testing my Izhmesh Biathlon-7-2-KO, I tried many different types to find out which it liked. Most shots were at 50 yards, except those marked.

Generic 525/550 pack Federal bulk.

I tried some Federal Gold in her. No good. Don't have the targets, but it was more pattern than group  . And a bad pattern to boot :p  .

I use the Win T22's for small bore silhouette. Looking at the 50 yd targets, I don't really know why :? .

I would think if your not getting .50 or even .75" 5 rd groups at 50 yards with a decent .22 you should be trying something else. 50 yards is usually a good distance to judge accuracy. If your shooting silhouette out to 100 meters you'll want something that keeps the holes within 1.5", which can actually be quite challenging, even with a rifle that groups .5 at 50m.

My experience with high velocity ammo such as American Eagle, Win. wildcat and especially hollow points is that they may shoot fine out to 50 or even 100, but with a bit of wind they go to crap. Target v. stuff seems less prone to this perhaps because it is subsonic all the way and the bullets are often longer and heavier.
