Anyone had any success in canada procuring remington sts or gun club ammo in ontario quebec area?

I have tried contacting gravel's but might as well just talk to myself.

Any help or tips would be appreciated!

If I recall correctly, I heard that Bass Pro had some. Problem is that Remington requires you to carry all their stuff, they won't give a retailer just shells. May I ask why you want Remington ammo?

As it will be until the end of time, though I think you'll find a lot of top shooters love their .410 8.5's

Here is my list of best target loads in their respective gauges.

12ga- Has to go to the Federal Gold Medal Paper shell, there is nothing like them.

20ga- There is no clear winner here, AA's, STS, Gun Clubs, gold medals and even top guns are all pretty good. Though some have issues with top guns they've always been great for me.

28ga- I'd have to give this one to Winchester. I love their 28 AA's.
Honourable mention to challenger 28's a lot of guys seem to like them.

.410bore- has to go to the Remington, they are a sweet shell. AA get the runner up spot for sure.

Just my humble opinion :)

I always love Federal Gold Medal for all the gauges, they reload very nicely. AA comes pretty close to the top too but often times I use Federal Top Gun for the 12 gauge.

Everyone seems to have a favourite. If money wasn't an object I would probably use different ammo.

Ontario is particularly underserviced by Remington. I find it a little strange considering our proximity to Upstate New York (Remington Country).

Their STS line is a staple in skeet and often requested by shooters coming in from outside of Ontario. If it was available I'm sure it would be requested a lot more by the locals. I've shot them, and they go boom when they are supposed to.

20ga- .... top guns are all pretty good. Though some have issues with top guns they've always been great for me.

Ya... Topgun 20's work OK... ;)

I use Challenger in 28 and .410, and they work OK too.

Brad.

The only place I've seen Remington Gun Club with any consistency is Bass Pro. Otherwise Remington shotgun shells are generally harder to find and their reloading components are even harder to find particularly primers.

Among the premium brands I don't see that much difference in performance but Winchester AA is more available. Even though I'm not that far from Lawry's there isn't that much Federal GM around. I don't get the magic of Federal Papers. Nice ammo but it doesn't do anything in my guns that AA won't do for less.

In the mid-level Challenger is very common but not Kent. Maybe if I lived closer to Gagnon's I could get Kent regularly. I like Challenger particularly their 20 gauge Sporting but it like most Challenger products don't perform well when cold. You will get off-sounding shots when the mercury drops much below freezing.

If I have to I will choose WW Super-Target over Top Gun. Neither is particularly great but I can't stand the smell from Top Gun after they are fired.
