Remington Thunderbolt ammo.

OK, well at 25 yards they would probably group like that for me. I never shoot at anything less than 50, so for me they are not accurate at the range I have shot them at.

I don't know about that, Father. Last Saturday my boy and I shot CCI Blazer, Winchester SuperX in addition to TB22A from our Marlin 795 rifles. I using irons and he using a telescopic sight. There were so many flyers from the Blazer and Winchester that groups were wide and inconsistent. The Thunderbolt did far better. Try it yourself and make a comparison. Only 25 yards to be sure but other brands did not do so well for us.

Its funny you say that. I have several 795s and the Thunderbolt does do very well in them. I weigh all of my ammo, but after weighing I am unable to reduce the flyers to a decent acceptable level.

You are 100% right though, they did do very well in my 795s.

Weighing is something I do as well. This has made all the difference. The shiny black bullets in Thunderbolt seem almost perfectly formed. Every barrel will shoot differently though. I'll stick with the Thunderbolt. I hope to go hunting squirrels this Monday. Most likely I'll take my Marlin 795 and just use the irons. I took a shot at a squirrel with the scoped nylon 66. It was up in a tree about fifteen feet. Since the scope was zeroed at 25 yards the point of impact was significantly lower. I missed.
I have been using CB Longs for this task.
Try cleaning your barrel with a bore brush to get any lead out and see if that helps. It may be that another brand works better for your barrels. Oddly enough my boy's rifle is a pre-Remington and mine is a post-Remington and both like Thunderbolt and both don't group Blazer well.

I love those Cb longs!

For me in my 795s the CCI standard is the winner. I will shoot some head to head with the Thunderbolt at 50 and 100m and take some pics. I am curious now to see how they do.
