So this evening I went out to shoot some gophers, all was well with my new 10/22T. I was shooting Federal 38gr HP Game Shok's when I decided to give some Rem T-Bolts a try, So with a 10 rnd mag I squeezed off two shot, dispatched two gophers, just as I took aim at another gopher...."BANG!!!!"
my gun went off?? WTF? with ringing ears, I felt something land on my foot.
I looked down and there lay on the ground was the head of the casing, I inspected the chamber and saw the rest of the casing in the chamber.
The only thing I can figure happened was I had a cook-off? Which seems odd because my Ruger has a heavy bbl? I unloaded the remainder and stuck them back in the box
Has anyone else had this happen with Rem. T-Bolts?
I can provide pics if anyones interested.

Remington Thunderbolts ?

I 've tried the thunderbolts a few years ago , I didn't think very much of them > Changed to Remington " yellowjackets " 33 grain hollowpoint bullet , 1500 f.p.s. , big difference in accuracy , performance , and you can shoot at 100 yards with them . good luck Joe

I've gone through a few cases of T-bolts/Cyclones and can't complain..The're the best of the cheap stuff I'd say...

My Ruger K10/22T doesn't care for the Thunderbolts much. The federal 40 grain solids, and 38 grain HP aren't bad. After shooting Lapua super club it's hard to go back.

I shot off about 100 of the thunderbolts today in my Ruger MKIII pistol. Not bad, not great. Good for breaking in the gun and plinking at the gongs at 50 feet. I was running Fedaral 40 grain solids and the thunderbolts. No misfires, jams or stove pipes from either ammo. I went through about 300 rounds total today.

Final verdict.
It's ok, but I'd never bother buying more of it.

how do the yellow jackets comapre to cci stingers?

some ammo like stingers are bad to use in target rifles because the chambers are so tight that might be the case in what happened here i wouldn't use that ammo again in that rifle

I've tried the T-bolts in my Mosquito and it loves them. Everyone else swears by CCI Minimags, but I find the T-bolts to be a way cheaper and almost equally reliable alternative

+1 for Remington, +1 for the "skeeter"

I ended up firing off the rest of my T-bolts in my Cooey 39 with no problems(good thing for lead solvent because one pull thru with a lead solvent saturated patch and dirrrrtyy) but I probably won't buy them again and I'll stick to Federal .22rimfires.
I found with thier 40gr lead solids, they worked reliably and for only $18.99/500 @ CT
