Remington UMC ammo...

I've shot a couple of boxes through my new CZ 75B and had no misfires or feeding problems. Seems to burn fairly clean, although my experience with it is limited. The quality is on par with the Winchester white box and American Eagle brands I think.

I use the 10mm...it makes the biggest bang and biggest flame of all the 10mm ammo I have tried so far...I guess that is a good thing :)

i shoot the umc 308 from lever. for me, i just bought it for the brass so I can reload. I wouldn't use it if you're doing some LR shooting.

i also use it in 9mm. at the pistol range, it's no different in accuracy when compared with ae or wwb, my glock just eats it up like any other stuff. Again, I use it for the brass.

Avoid UMC at all costs in 7.62X39mm if you plan to shoot it in a SKS, it'll slamfire at every shot, because the primers aren't recessed enough (level with case head) and are really soft. And yes, I say that by experience.

i used umc in .45acp through a norinco 1911 and man was it dirty, lots of powder everywhere. after i cleaned the 1911 and re-oiled, i then fired winchester winclean and no problems with dirt. mind you the umc was a heavier grain.

just my $0.02

Funny, yesterday I bought a box of 50 .45 ACP from Latulippe (they're Remington biased, which I hate) and in the box was not one, but two 'pinched brass'. It seems like it was knocked on a hard object or pinched in a machine or something. Not only is the deformed brass highly visible, but to the touch you really feel the cavity and dent. I've never found a deformed brass in either WWB or Federal. It's probably shootable though.

The moral of the story, always INSPECT your rounds individually!

Here's a pic (doesn't look as bad on picture though):

And this is my second experience with Rem. UMC, my first being failure to complete action with 9 mm (underpowered rounds) for about half the rounds in a box out of a P226. The Sig ate everything else fine.

Those roounds are fine to shoot. I reload .45acp and use the brass until the case mouth cracks from repeated belling or the case splits.

Take Care
