I, like many of you, shoot precision rifles custom built on rem 700 actions and that is never going to change but here's a true Q.C. screw up if ever there was one... last week I went into W.S. and bought a new Rem 700 as a gift for a friend of mine.. I never even looked at it when I went in and paid for it... he went down a couple of days later and picked it up.. he didn't look at it till he got it home. (still in the box) when he took it out and looked at his new toy the barrel was BENT (off to the left) at least a 1/2" out... he nearly ####.. of course he took it back and all ended well... I'd bet no-one test fired this puppy before it left the factory...
