Kind of want.

Too bad it'd be restricted of course.

Hopefully Remington will offer a full stocked 18.5" version at some point?
 
Looks cool, but I would be weary of an auto with no buttstock. Better be shooting hot ammo and have a really firm grip if you want that thing to cycle.

The VersaPort gas system should be more forgiving in this application than a conventional gas system.

My main concern would be Remington's QC.

Their higher end shotguns are supposed to be decent. I've handled some Versamax and they seem pretty nice.

But factory 14" 870 barrels are being imported all the time. Funny world we live in.

Even the VersaMax tends to need tweaking, not sure about the V3 but I'd expect it to be the same.

Still, you can afford a LOT of tweaking for the price difference between them and a Benelli M4, and the V3 gives you the possibility of mounting a folding stock, if only one were available.

When did you get that?

Yesterday, I talked to Remington Canada about importing Rem 870 Police models with 14" barrels, and they said they can't import them.

In fact, they said they had to send the 14" barrels they had in stock back to the States a few years ago.

I can't find a Rem 870 14" Police barrel with a modified choke anywhere.

You're probably better off getting Dlask to make you one, or getting a 14" express barrel and having someone thread it.

I've already talked to Dlask and they won't make one with just a bead sight.

I have an express barrel, but I hear it's crazy expensive to have them threaded for chokes.

I hope something good happens with ITAR soon. The US rules are ridiculous.

Buy it yourself from a US NFA class 3 dealer , and get it imported by an importer.

Don't loose your time talking with an uninformed Canadian rep.
