just bought this gun and took it apart to clean it, I put some rounds through it today and the bolt is ejecting the shells after I have to do it manually....Did I not put it back together properly???

ya I greased her up, and it does have the o ring, I am assuming there is only the one??. where is the o ring supposed to be?

and thanks for the speedy response...This site rocks

Well then it could be the gas port? I dunno if you tried to clean that out too but they get pretty buggered after a while. What loads are you using? Mine (when i used to use it for skeet) sometimes wouldn't cycle the super light loads unless it was super clean and greased and oiled up.

With something as heavy as 00 then you should be kicking those shells out. Get an online manual and learn where the gas ports are and give em a good cleaning. Mine had to be done with drill bits when i got it. (Auction)

Well there are gas ports in the ring that goes around the mag tube attached to the barrel. you need a small angled pick to clean them out and some gun blast.

Could be that your piston assembly is installed incorrectly, or missing a part. Or the gas port.

But yeah - buck should be SHOOTING the empties out. Does the bolt cycle at all/half way, or it doesn't move?

Sounds like the ejaculator is malfunctioning!

Seriously though, you'll probably have to find pics of the assembly and make sure you have everything facing the right way. The rings can be facing the wrong way on those I think. I had an 1187 that cycled with half an o-ring, so it's probably not that. Also, with the OO buck, probably won't be the hole partially plugged. My bet is the rings ( the metal ones that fit together) are on backwards.

Good luck, hopefully you can find the problem, let us know if you do.

so I am now trying to take this apart an I'm at the point where you need to press the mag tube shell latch to remove the action, but I can't seem to press the latch in. I can see it move when I pull the action back but it won't budge when i push on it. Saw a video of a disassembly and it looked so easy

You did remove the 'charging handle', right?

Anyway - you should be able to see what's up without removing the bolt. Remove the mag cap and forend. Lock the bolt to the rear. Pull the barrel off. On the piston, you should have an o-ring, and two sliding metal parts. The round 'washer' looking thing should be closest the receiver (flat side towards receiver), with the sculpted rounded darker part on top, fitting kinda 'inside' the bottom part. Sorry - I don't know the real names - I'm going from memory!

There ain't too much to it - if these parts are assembled correctly, chances are your gas port is blocked.

ya I took off the handle, but now the thing is when I put the handle back in it won't pull back the bolt.....welcome to my life, a comedy of errors lol..

1100's should not be "greased up". That could easily cause damage on firing. The tube is supposed to be clean and dry. The two steel rings are supposed to fall freely. They may need to be sprung open slightly or cleaned. The "O" ring (seal) needs to be replace once in a while if it gets beat up. If it looks okay it probably is.
