Hey guys!

So im looking at a M24 at the local gun store but the price us a whopping 5000$ its apperently one of the last civilian sold M24's. The gun store owner confirmed he ordered it from remmington military right before they stopped selling yo civvies for the guy whose now selling it. Comes with 5 steel mags and the MARS rail system. Crazy lookin muzzle break too. Is this too much for a 308? Or is this a rare find?

That's not a M24 in its original configuration for sure. There is a M24A2 with a MARS rail and a detachable mag system, but it was never officialy endorsed by the US Army. Its just a 2nd version, made by Remington Defense. It might be a re-configured M24. Ask if its a long or short action. The M24 is a 308 built on a long action Rem 700 platform.

5000$ for a rebuild M24 is what they go for.

I do own a genuine military issued M24. Not the rebuilds sold to civilians. Probably the only one in Canada. Rebuils usually have a RR prefix serial number.
