Anybody own of these chambered in SAUM? I'm wonderin what they're weighin in at undressed?

I had a fella tellin me at Wholesale Sports that they got one with a 22" barrell chambered in 7mm SAUM weighin in at 5 1/4 lbs...doesn't seem right????
 
Must be the magnum barrel profile and the longer length, if indeed they use a heavier profile for the Saum like they do with the model 7.

I know on mine they said it was 5.5 lbs and it was no lie, I actually weighted it with a set of talleys on it and it weighted 5.5 lbs so naked it should be a hair less. The stocks are 24 oz FYI

Mine is getting hot rodded right now, I figured $1300 wasn't enough so I dedicded to drop another couple grand and soup it up a bit. It will be interesting to see if the weight will change much after its done.
 
I can't speak for the rest of the rifle, but the TI stock on my custom 257Roberts is one of my favourites. I wish we could source the stock alone here in Canada.

bell and carlson will sell you one, but it takes 8 weeks to get it and cost around $350, which isnt bad for what you get
 
Ti stocks are OK, but they are not a Brown or a McMillan....but if you can find them as takeoffs they can be a good deal...

my 7-08 Ti with 2.5-8X Leupy in Leupy mounts is 6#'s 6oz..
 
My 260 Ti with it's 22" pencil weighs right on at 5 lbs-5 ounces....figures the Saum version with it's longer, slightly heavier barrel would weigh a smidge more then that ;)

Yes actually I really Love the fit and feel of my Ti's stock.....not the Best stock made but certainly ain't the worst either:wave:

I've had McMillans, and currently own two Bansners and one TI. I like them all and am pleased with the quality.

How is the McMillan or Brown better?
