I was checking out rings online and I saw some Leupold QRW rings that claim to keep zero after being removed and re-attached.
Can anyone vouch for how well these work?
Also, what are some similar alternatives to these rings? I don't need anything tacticool, nor do I want to blow a lot of money, I just would like the option of switching between a scope and the irons without super-high see-thru rings

They would be used on a picatinny rail on an M14

Thanks!

Arms 22 throw rings are good .And they will hold a zero when removed.

Have Burris QR Zee's on my 45/70 1895SBL...take them on/off and holds zero just dandy! :)
I went with Burris cause they were cheaper then the Leupold QRWs(and I see no difference)

Saying you want to maintain zero with QRW rings and then saying you do not want to spend a lot of money is a bit contradictory. Cheap rings will give you problems. The QRWs are, in my opinion, quite fairly priced and of relatively good quality. There is not much "tacticool" about them - they are just a solid ring.

Keep in mind that an M14s will hammer your optics. Cheap scopes and mounts suffer dearly, moreso than if mounted on many other types of rifles.

I would get the Leupold QRW rings. They are good value as they aren't terribly expensive, but they are well made. I doubt they will be the weak link on your M14's optics.

Leupold QRW rings are more than enough for most applications including M-14 style rifles. I have used them with no problem however currently I am running Leupold Mark 4 rings on my cut down Norinco M305 because I had a set already lapped from a previous build. The Mark 4's are easy to take on and off and all you need is T-handle 65 in/lb torque wrench that I keep in my drag bag. Phil.

Plain vanilla and inexpensive Weaver rings return to zero as good as rings costing five times as much. Proven that many times at the range, and won a few coffee bets doing it.

This is another question that comes up repeatably, and could be a sticky! :)
