Removal of K98 rear sight?

Hello to all,

Looking for suggestion as I cannot find any information on the internet. I am in the process of "trying" to remove the rear sight of my K98 in order to install a rail and a scope (Bad Ace tactical Low profile NDT). I did remove the retaining pin but cannot remove the rear sight for unknown reason. It just won't move at all. Really lost and would need help.

Do I have to go to a gunsmith ?

Mine was stuck in and requires the rubber Malloy to teach it some....
Then on went the no-drill mount and here I am hunting with my K98!

YouTube videos I saw tended to skip it gloss over popping the actual sight out... it's like all K98 parts requires a tap on the perfect angle

Then on went the no-drill mount and here I am hunting with my K98! I have the same low profile mount from bad ace it works pretty well with my bent bolt.

The trick included pressing down hard on the spring end then essentially pulling it back out of the spot with the cross pin. It was easier when it goes on the right angle just like tapping the front barrel band off with a brass tap or spent shell.
