Remove Barrel Mounted Rear Sight - RIA 10/22

Has anyone ever removed this style of rear sight from a barrel? It's an RIA 10/22, the rear sight is kinda bent and I don't really use it. I'm having the barrel threaded for a comp for use in steel challenge so the front sight is being deleted anyways.

Is this a job for Mr. Dremel or is there a less drastic way to remove it?

The rear sight is dovetailed in. Just punch it out, from left to right.

Thanks, got it off but it was right to left.
