Hi there, first off to let everyone know, I did do a search and came up empty. I recently purchased an LMT M4, and I can't figure out how to take the butt off (its a collapsible butt). I have done some searching on the net, and on some models of collapsible stocks you just press the release lever and slide it off. Not so on the LMT (I think). I attempted to take the release lever pin out, but I can't figure out how. I would like to avoid taking off the receiver extension if possible. What am i doing wrong? How do I take it off? Any help would be great, thanks.

Stop screwing around with the pins.

When you normally move the stock back and forth along the receiver extention you squeeze the lever in towards the stock. To remove the stock, extend it all the way open and instead of squeezing the lever, pull it away from the stock and you will get some extra leverage that will enable the pin to clear the last hole in the receiver extention and pull it off.

That is to say: simply grasp the entire release lever and pull straight out. Dont use it like a lever at all, but rather like a cork remover for a bottle of wine.

Dont feel bad, I didn't know it either.

Jeff
